FAQ
1. I don't need the semester ticket - does that also count as a reason for applying?
No. The semester ticket works according to the principle of solidarity: everyone pays relatively little for 6 months, everyone can use it and only in a few exceptional cases where it cannot actually be used can it be refunded. Simple non-use (e.g. because you live right next to the university, generally travel on foot/bicycle or by car or other reasons) are not a reason for reimbursement. The ticket is valid nationwide 24/7 and not just on the route apartment - university - apartment and can therefore also be used in your free time.
2. I have been informed that my evidence is not sufficient or appropriate for the reason for the application - do I now have to submit a new application?
No, because you can change the evidence and upload new evidence via “My Application” and entering your registration details. Please also note the information about uploading.
3. Can I still submit applications for a refund of the semester ticket in paper form?
No. The only exception is the reason for the application “health situation” either outside the application deadline or during the online application retroactively for the previous semester. But this also requires the appropriate proof.
